When anxiety strikes, or just plain stress strikes. I often lay down, or simply relax and clothes my eyes and go to my “Safe Place” in my mind.
One safe place I chose was the room I used to have therapy in. It works sometimes, sometimes it just brings bad the bad memories I had while in Therapy.
Another is me Sitting on a porch swing in a country setting . I have actually been working to make this into a reality and not something that I just go to when meditating. I have a trip planned in February to check out a small town about 500 miles away from here and hope to move there by the end of the year.
My last Safe Place is Sitting by a calm lake fishing or just being still.
